High speed steel W6 is also as known as W6Mo5Cr4V2, 6542, W6 and DF6. It belongs to tungsten and molybdenum HSS steel, its advantages are high toughness, good thermoplastic and high temperature hardness.

Chemical composition:
Carbon C: 0.80 to 0.90 (± 0.01)
Silicon Si: 0.20 to 0.45 (± 0.05)
Mn: 0.15 to 0.40 (+0.04)
Sulfur S: ≤0.030
Phosphorus P: ≤0.030
Cr Cr: 3.80 to 4.40 (± 0.05)
Ni: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.30
Cu: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.25
Vanadium V: 1.75 to 2.20 (± 0.05)
Molybdenum Mo: 4.50 to 5.50 (size ≤ 6, ± 0.05; size> 6, ± 0.10)
Tungsten W: 5.50 to 6.75 (allowable deviation: size ≤10, ± 0.10; size> 10, ± 0.20)

Kenlar high speed steel W6 planer knife is made of CNC machine, grinding and polishing by one-time forming techniques, HRC 63, edge straightness tolerance is <0.05mm, the blade is sharp and it can be sharpened for several times.
